Mazda Production and Sales Results for January 2016 (Flash Report)
Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for January 2016 are summarized below.
I. Production
Note 1): Overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (not including CKD units). However, passenger vehicles produced for another brand at the plant in Mexico are included. Note 2): Global production figures are the sum total of domestic and overseas production volumes.
1. Domestic Production Mazda's total domestic production volume in January 2016 increased 7.3% compared to January 2015 due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

2. Overseas Production Mazda's overseas production volume in January 2016 increased 12.1% year-on-year due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

II. Domestic Sales
Mazda's total domestic sales volume in January 2016 decreased 8.0% compared to January 2015, due to decreased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 7.2% (down 0.5 points year-on-year), with a 2.6% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.2 points year-on-year) and a 5.5% total market share (down 0.2 points year-on-year).

III. Exports
Mazda's export volume in January 2016 increased 4.8% year-on-year, reflecting increased shipments to North America and others.
